My grandmother used to tell me the story when my father graduated from high school, and she always emphasised on the present that he was given by my grandfather, a car. Therefore, I used to think about the present I will be given when I graduated from high school, would it be a car too? Here is the story.
After 8 months I graduated from High school, my father gave me a 1995 model, red, Fiat 1. I was gleeful because it will be extremely useful for the university, but, unfortunately, not everything was rosy and I realized that owning a car is not easy at all.
Things started to go wrong after some months of using it. One day I was coming from La Mesa de los Santos and there was this particular smell emanating from my car, so I decided to stop and check out what was going on, but... surprise! the brakes didn't work. What I did was to use the emergency brake or the hand brake and I put the car in first gear. After 30 minutes the brakes were working again and amazingly I managed to go home.
Another day I was picking my girlfriend up from the university, I was driving over the 27th street when suddenly, my car turned off. I tried to switch it on again, but nothing happened, so I called my dad and told him what was going on, he asked me to wait and to keep trying to switch it on. Fortunateley, I was near a parking lot so that when my father arrived, he pushed my car with his car and we managed to park it.
I still have some problems with the battery, with the tires, with the lights, with the sits, with the keys, among other things.
And that's it. Sometimes owning a car is not funny besides, it could be really expensive to mantain it.
Hope you like it!

At least you have transport u.u
ResponderEliminargreat story David :3 I'm sure the two stories are great but I think you could focus on one experiences about your car ;)
at least you dont need to smeel human sweet and human bodys pushing you inside a green cabine to get university but wow owning a car can be so hard lol.
ResponderEliminarawesome story and I'd like to know what you father think about the day when your car turned off.
You will see my dear Mafe, it is just one story. The topic I chose is "Car's problems" so that I'm telling you some of the problems I have had with my car, not two stories :)
ResponderEliminarGreat stories! :D You're doing a great job! :D Don't get my wrong, but I was thinking you could have told us more about the story from la Mesa de los Santos, you spoiled it giving the end so quickly!!
ResponderEliminarKeep writing! :D
Hahaha, I couldn't stopped laughing when I read about the car breakdown. It would be perfect for "akward moment" post. Anyway, I think it's stressful but you love taking care of it as you do with your others kids, Luna's children haha.
